Privacy Policy — EMI Planner

1. Who we are

EMI Planner (Android package com.emicalculator.emiplanner) is published by vamaha.tech, an independent software developer based in India ("we", "us"). Contact: emiplanner@vamaha.tech.

EMI Planner is a financial calculator only. It does not provide loans or financial advice, and it does not connect you with any lender or financial institution.

2. What stays on your device

The loan details you enter, your saved plans, settings, and — for any loan you choose to track — the payments you log are stored only on your device. They are never uploaded, synced, or sent to us or anyone else, and they are not included even when you send us feedback. There is no cloud sync.

3. What leaves your device — and why

Only the following, and none of it ever includes a rupee amount, interest rate, income, plan name, or anything you type into a calculator:

• Anonymous usage statistics. Events such as "Calculator opened" or "Loan Tracker opened", plus the app version, language and Android version, sent to our own server (not a third-party analytics service). Each install gets a random ID that is not your advertising ID and is not linked to your identity. We do not store your IP address or location. On by default with an in-app disclosure; switch it off or reset the ID anytime in Settings → Privacy.
• Push notifications (optional, off by default). Only if you agree to the prompt or turn them on in Settings → Privacy. Google Firebase Cloud Messaging gives your device a delivery token, which we store on our server with the app's random install ID so we can send an occasional reminder. Turning push off removes the token from our server.
• Feedback you send. If you submit the in-app feedback form, we receive the star rating, your message, your platform, and the app name and version — no loan data and no device or advertising identifier. Please don't include personal or financial details in your message.
• EMI Planner Pro purchases. See section 4.

EMI reminders for saved plans are local notifications scheduled on your device; no server is involved.

4. Purchases (EMI Planner Pro)

The calculators are free. If you buy EMI Planner Pro, the payment is handled entirely by Google Play — we never see your card, UPI or bank details. To unlock Pro and restore it on a new device, the app uses RevenueCat, a purchase-management service acting on our behalf. Each time the app starts, it sends RevenueCat a random anonymous ID generated for this install, only to check whether Pro is unlocked. If you buy or restore Pro, RevenueCat also receives the Google Play purchase record (which product was bought, when, and the order details). RevenueCat never receives your name, email, loan data or any number you type, and its ID is not linked to the usage-statistics ID.

5. Service providers

The app uses:

• Google Play — app distribution and payments.
• RevenueCat — Pro purchase validation and restore. See revenuecat.com/privacy.
• Google Firebase Cloud Messaging — push delivery, only if you turn push on.
• Our own server — receives usage statistics, push tokens and feedback as described above.

This website uses:

• Google Fonts — to load the Inter typeface. Google may log your IP address as part of this request.
• Formspree — for the website's contact form. See formspree.io/legal/privacy-policy.

We do not sell or share your data with anyone for advertising, and the app contains no advertising, tracking or crash-reporting SDKs.

6. Your choices and deleting data

• Switch usage statistics off, or reset the anonymous ID, in Settings → Privacy.
• Turn push notifications off in Settings → Privacy or your device's notification settings.
• Delete plans or stop tracking a loan inside the app; clear the app's data or uninstall to remove everything on your device.
• To ask us to delete server-side data linked to your install (usage events, push token or feedback), email emiplanner@vamaha.tech.

7. Permissions

The app uses an internet connection to send feedback you submit, the anonymous usage statistics, and optional push notifications, and to check EMI Planner Pro. It uses the notifications permission only for the reminders you set up (and push, if you turn it on), and vibration for haptic feedback. EMI Planner does not access your camera, microphone, contacts, photos or location.

8. Data security

Your loan and financial data stays on your device, so its security depends on your device's own protection — we recommend keeping it locked with a PIN or biometric lock. Everything the app sends us travels over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection.

9. Your rights

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can ask us for a summary of the data linked to your install, ask us to correct or delete it, and raise a grievance. Because EMI Planner has no accounts, we may ask you for details from the app so we can find the right data. Email emiplanner@vamaha.tech and we will reply within 30 days. If you're not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

10. Children

EMI Planner is intended for users aged 18 and over and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect any data from children.

11. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy.
